My Engish teacher gave us an observation project where we must pick something from nature--trees, birds, or a person and observe them day to day for 2 months. The day that Ms. Farias gave us the project, I knew I wanted to observe my niece, Olivia. Olivia is 1 year old and a lot will change with her in 2 months. She is my only niece and I dont know what could bring me more happiness than she can. I want to share my love for her with you guys because she is a big part of my life.

Biggest Olive I've seen.
The biggest thing that's probably going to change in Olivia over the next two months is here size. I started my observations by measuring her height and weighing her. Olivia comes in at 24 pounds and 33 inches tall, and with those numbers shes the biggest Olive I've ever seen. My nights during the week are never a bore with her in the house, but they"re not always pleasant either. This little girl can bring lots of laughs and joy, but she can also make the biggest messes and drive the most skilled and hardened babysitter crazy. My sister tells Olivia that she has a stalker (meaning me) and Olivia does this weird laugh like she knows whats going on. I can't wait for her to start saying more words. I can tell that this project is going to be something I'll show to her when she is older.

The photo and the tone are perfect. Your love for Olivia is so apparent, yet you keep a sense of humor. I look forward to your blogs.
ReplyDeleteYour niece is super adorable and I really like how you talk a little about both the good and the bad about observing her. Also I liked how you want to show her what you had observed of her a baby when she is older.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy how you introduce Olivia as if she was some type of wrestler getting ready to fight in the ring, very well done. How old is Olivia? This might be a weird question, but is she potty trained? If she isn't, it's probably one of the coolest thing to watch them learn how to use the toilet because they think it's as if they hit the lottery. I am most definitely looking forward to your blog as I, myself, have a little niece and have had the bitter, sweet privilege of watching her transform before my eyes. Not only am I interested in Olivia, but also in how you are going to react towards her growth. Good luck holding those tears in.
ReplyDeleteYour blog introduction about your niece Olivia made me want to continue to explore your blog spot, it caught my attention. I love how you described her, it really reminded me about my nephew Jacob who I think acts a lot like your niece Olivia from what I have read. Along with your blog title, "Biggest Olive I've seen" it's really creative and made me want to continue to read! I'd suggest to watch the attitude change as well, because with babies like your niece Olivia it goes 0-100 real quick haha (:
